Twilight - Movie Review

I've watched the movie. It was AWESOME! Well, it's kinda like a summary to the book; focusing more on the story about the vampires. I'm a bit disapointed though that they skip Alice's story in this.

The start of the movie was really slow to me and a bit boring. However when they hit to the Cullens entrance in the cafeteria, I think that's when it got interesting. For me anyway...

I think they've made great selection for each of the casts. I really, really imagined each of the Cullens looked like in the movie. When they first enter the video frame, I was staring at each of them in fascination. They're all incredibly beautiful, even the guys. I love Ashley Greene's portrayal as Alice, the cheeky vampy and she looked so, so good with Jackson Rathbone who played Jasper. I love them in the book and I definitely fall in love with these two's portrayal in the movie.

Kristen Stewart did very well as Bella. She's so clumsy. Although, for some parts in the beginning of the film, she looked quite stiff, but I think that's just me. However, in most part she did great.

I think Robert Pattinson was the 100% right choice for Edward. I expected him to act like he did as Cedric Diggory, with all the accent and stuff, but he really did surprise me from the moment I saw him in the cafeteria scene. He has this mysterious vibe in him and I believe his every action when it feels like he was trying hard to control his thirst when he was around Bella. I think Stephanie Meyer did the right thing, showing him Edward's Point of View from "Twilight".

Which bring me to this next point about the things I love in the movie. In the books, it was all written in first person, which is in Bella's point of view. I think Melissa Rosenberg did great with the screenwriting. It was kinda fast pace, and at the same time quite informative for all viewers, as far as I'm concerned. I think she took most of the significant quotes from the book, particularly the Lamb-Lion quotes. Not an easy job to change a first person story into a movie. For that, I applaud her.

On to my favorite scenes...

I think my absolute favorite scene was the Cafeteria scene, which is the Cullens first scene I believe. I know this is kind of a repetition of what I just said earlier, but seriously, they're all incredibly beautiful. Pale, tall and it seems to me like they "dance" their way. Emmett and Rosalie were so gorgeous and they do look great together and did you guys notice Emmett's dimple?!! Because I did and he's so cute!

Jasper was adorably stiff, which is perfect and the brief dance move Alice had there was really cute. Seriously, they're so vampirish. I do love the way Jessica introduce them to Bella -- it was written quite well there. Fast pace and quite informative, as I said earlier. However, the way Jessica talks, well at least how the actress spoke, kinda annoyed me a little. I love the brief grin Edward had when Jessica said "apparently, nobody's good enough for him." That's so cute and the bewilderment Edward had when he couldn't read Bella's mind was absolutely right on spot. I would think why he looked at her like that if I hadn't read the book.

Next scene I love was Edward and Bella's first official meeting. Edward's eyes were GOLD and gorgeous!! I kinda giggled when Edward said "Hello." Is it just me or did Robert loosen his British accent there?

Okay, okay. The saving Bella scene was great! Did you guys kinda flinch when Edward gave Bella the stare? It was so damn sexy and scary at the same time. Oh oh, something I like about the scene there is the brief shots to the Cullens. Did Alice and Jasper touch each other all the time? *Sighing, in love*. Bella's dad was mad at Tyler. It's really funny and protective of him.

Oh oh. When Carlisle first show up, I was like "OH MY GOD". He's sooo gorgeous! I think I'm in love with Papa Cullen. Seriously, he's soooo beautiful. I can see why Bella refers to all the Cullens as "beautiful people". Anyways, moving on. The brief scene at the hallway when Rosalie, Edward and Carlisle were discussing stuff was kinda weird.

I found the scene when Mike asked Bella to prom quite funny. It's obvious that Edward didn't like what he's hearing. In later scene, after the class tour, when Edward said something about "we shouldn't be friends", I think that's the part when we first heard Alice talk. Seriously... I didn't know if it's just me, or did Alice had a very soft and kinda musical voice. I know I'm nuts now. I thought Jasper's not in the same year as Edward, Alice and Bella... but why was he there? Correct me if I'm wrong...

The dark alley scene was amazing. I know, I know... I said this a LOT, but bear with me. I'm excited. Have I ever mentioned how much I love Edward's volvo? It was so fast, though I imagined him driving faster than that, but eh, this'll do. Edward growled at the bad dudes... It's kinda sexy... and scary (I know, I said that before).

I love the meadow scenes.. or was it forest? I can't be certain. I love every minute of it. The screenwriter didn't take so much time with the Vampire's stories, eh? I love the effect on Edwards when he's under the sunlight. I seriously love the dialogue there. Like I said before, fast pace and yet the signifant part was there.

Here's part of the narration that I really love and I'm so glad it got mentioned.

About three things that I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him and I don't know how dominant that part might be, that thirst for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

I love the brief flashback on how Carlisle transform Edward and Esme. Again, quite sexy.

Oh oh -- We've come to the next scene which I absolutely love; Bella's first meeting with the whole family of Vampires. The Cullen's house was incredible. I love Esme! She's so pretty and have the motherly personality in her. I love Esme and Carlisle!! Yeah, I'm all for the romantic aspect of the movie/book.

Again, I was mesmerized when Alice enters the scene again. She's so graceful and kinda cute to watch. I laugh when she smells Bella and the absurd expression in Jasper's face didn't help either.

The graduation caps joke was really amusing to see and oh my, Edward's room was lovely. He did have a LOT of music. From Cassettes to LDs to CDs. I want a room like that! I don't really like the running and climbing when Bella said she's not afraid of Edward. I like it better if they just stick to how it was in the book. I think, if I remember precisely, Alice walked in on them in an inapproprate position. but eh... And oh my God! I love Bella's Lullaby! It seems like Robert Pattinson played the piano on his own. I know he could play guitar and piano, so he might know the right key for the music, but I doubt he's playing there.

The kissing scene was really HOT. However, I can't help noticing the agony in Edward there, when his lips touched hers. I'm not sure I like the silent talk scene... however, I do love that now we got to see how Edward acted when Bella slept and cuddled into him. Like I said, Robert was great.

Oh oh! The baseball scenes!! I LOVED it! It's so cool to watch. They're so fast and the bumping and all that was soooooo amazing! I think this is where we could see Emmett's dimples clearly. He's like a kid there. *in love* I do not like the interuption, but eh, it had to be done. Laurent wasn't quite like I imagined he would look like, but the other two were freaking evilish! Have I ever said that I love Papa Cullen? *gushing*

I absolutely loved the argument scene in the car. Edward was worried sick and Bella was stubborn to not let anything happen to her dad; I like how this scene turned out to be. The scene with Charlie breaks my heart. The harsh thing Bella said, and Charlie's plead... it was so heart-breaking. *cries*

The scene at the garage was again fast pace. Was that money that Carlisle had in his hand? The Cullens are incredibly rich. *laugh* I really love that Carlisle acted like their real father; even Rosalie had a high respect for him. "Bella, you are my life now," -- I think that part had me melted.

The Cullens' cars are so very cool. I want one of those! And I would like to say this again. I love Jasper and Alice. *in love* The brief glance Alice gave Jasper and the hand holding gave me chills. I seriously love these two. *in love yet again*

The action part! Oh My God! It was so scary and this kinda scene isn't really my thing, though I couldn't help loving every minute of it. I love the video of little Bella... "Mom, I suck." -- That was so cute!

Cam Gigandet was an amazing villain. The eyes are so scary, seriously. He had this calm and yet, evil vibe in him. You've no idea how many times I screamed of terror seeing parts in the Dancing Studio; the leg-breaking, the bite and the mirror crashing. I love James versus Edward. The thing I like about the fight is that there's no blood in their part. Really, blood creeps me sometimes.

I know, this is for the movie's sake, but why can't Jasper and Emmett just drag James out of the room. I thought the scent of blood made Jasper lose control. I love the brief self-control scene when Alice touched Bella's blood. I love how tense Edward was when he tried not to let Bella becomes one of them. Seriously, I love Robert as Edward.

Last scene was the prom. Where are my Jasper and Alice? *cries* Anyways... I love the dance scene. It was so sweet that Edward let her stood on his foot. and part when Edward kissed Bella's neck... So romantic... Although, Bella wasn't quite as persistant in this movie as she was in the book. I love how the movie ended... Victoria was pissed. Nice setting for the sequel.

Moving on to the last cast part of my review. A very brief observation on Taylor Luthner portrayal as Jacob Black -- I love him! Although, he's stiff sometimes, but just a little, perhaps in the very beginning. No offense. However, Taylor was just how imagined Jacob looked like, but now I have a question... How on earth can he pull his character's off for the remaining film when Jacob's supposed to be taller than Edward? I guess we'll see how Taylor work-out would changes him.

I have to say I love Hardwicke's direction with this movie. I really do, it seems flawless, however I do not like some part, but just a litte and not that significant -- not worthy to be mentioned. I do have to say that, she didn't seem comfortable in front of a camera when she did the commentary on the deleted scene. No offense. She's a good director, though. Perhaps behind the camera suited her.

I have to say, I'm really a romantic person and romance/relationship is my main focus with this saga. I guess that's why I enjoyed this movie so much.

I would give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars.

Well then. That's all. I have no idea that I would write this... I was thinking of a short review and it turned out I wrote my thoughts on most of the scenes in the film. I couldn't help myself, I love the movie too much! I also took the liberty of checking the names of the cast and people behind the camera.

Supernatural S04E01 - Lazarus Rising (Review)

I just watched Supernatural "Lazarus Rising". (I know, some of my Supernatural fan friends will say "FINALLY"). It was so against what I believed in, but man oh man, that was such an amazing episode! Things are getting so big now. Dean raised from the dead, like what I read about Lazarus.

The first part when Dean got his life back, I thought that was so creepy. I feel like I can't breath... Can you imagine being in a box, buried six feet under? Seriously creepy that I can't even watch it in my bedroom alone :p

I like the part when Dean meet up with Bobby and Sam. I laughed so hard when Bobby splashed the holy water on Dean's face and his respond was "I'm not a demon too ya know?" Hahaha! So funny. I felt so teary when Sam and Dean hugged. *cries* It's sooo very heart-breaking. Sam was so deeply hurt by Dean's "death". Just when my tears about to fall, however, the girl said something like "So.. Are you two like... together?", I just couldn't help but burst into laughter again. This is so funny! and gosh, the part when Dean touched his car... *laugh* He treats her like his girlfriend. :D

It seems to me like Sam's becoming a bit like Dean. Though, he's kinda reckless, which reminds me of Gordon. *shudder* Sam's power... How in the world did he be able to kill a demon with that easy gesture... Oh Gosh, so many questions in my head now!

Apparently, Sam and Ruby are now kinda comfortable around each other. The girl who's playing Ruby is really different that how Katie played her. Katie was cool and kinda cold. This girl seems more casual and... er... uncool. :p But I think I'm warming up to her.

Soooo... Now the God is interfering with the Mortal and sending his Angel into the Earth. The guy who plays Castiel is kinda cool. I love the blank expression he's showing and yet I can see something warm with the character. I think it's just me... So out of what I believed in, but I'm so intrigued for the next episode.

*runs out to watch next episode*
